50% Reduction For International Arrivals to Queensland.
Brisbane is having a minimum of three days lockdown due to COVID from 5pm 29th March 2021.
It has also been announced that International Arrivals into Brisbane will be reduced by half. This is due to a COVID case from Hotel Quarantine getting out into the Brisbane community.
Annastacia Palaszczuk, the Queensland Premier, has announced that Queensland will halve its intake of international arrivals for two weeks to ease the pressure on its hospitals. This is based on the “high rate of returned travellers being positive” for coronavirus.
This will reduce the numbers of arrivals to 650 per fortnight, down from the current 1,300 returned travellers a fortnight.
