Cairns and Yarrabah 3 Day lockdown.

From 4pm Sunday 8 August, the Cairns and Yarrabah Local Government Areas will go into lockdown for three days.

The same rules will apply as the South East Queensland lockdown, however, two visitors will be allowed in homes.

Please get tested if you have even the mildest symptoms.

  2. I am here for 2 nights, regularly, with my disabled son. Can I now return to home at Kurrimine Beach

    1. Technically, after 4pm people in that area cannot go far.

      If you had begun driving home before 4pm, then I would assume you would be OK.

      Even if you go now, you may be expected to follow any rules that apply in that area.

      We got caught by something like that in the previous Brisbane lockdown.

      If in doubt, I would suggest contacting the police, to see what applies to you, with your full circumstances. After all, it is the police that interpret the rules, and decide what we can or cannot do
