Netflix gains 14 million customers in last 12 months.

Netflix loses 200,000 and gains 14 million subscribers.

Headline news at the moment is that Netflix has lost 200,000 customers. I heard a statement on the TV saying, “ is this the end of Netflix?”

But, they increased by 14 million customers over the last 12 months.

At March 2021, they had 207.64 million customers.

At March 2022, they had increased to 221.64 million customers.

That is an increase of 14 million customers, during the year that ended with a “temporarily” loss of 700,000 customers from Russia, due to sanctions following their invasion of Ukraine.

The Netflix streaming service saw its subscriber numbers drop from 221.84 million to 221.64 million for the 3 months from January to March 2022.

That is a drop of 200,000 customers, including the 700,000 drop in Russian subscribers. That indicates an increase of 500,000 subscribers from other countries.

The annual figures show rises each year.

At December 2019, Netflix increased by 27.83 million.
At December 2020, Netflix increased by 36.57 million.
At December 2021, Netflix increased by 18.18 million.

At March 2020, Netflix increased by 31.30 million, in 12 months.
At March 2021, Netflix increased by 14.69 million, in 12 months.
At March 2022, Netflix increased by 12.46 million, in 12 months.
