Parent Visa applications on hand March 2025

Parent Visa applications in the pipeline (on hand) at 31 March 2025.

A recent report shows that there are an estimated 150,000 parent visa applications in the queue.

The number of Parent Visa applications that are allocated for granting during the year 2024/25 is 8,500.

Based on these numbers, the latest estimated processing times for Parent Visas are:

  • 14 years for Contributory Parent visas.
  • 31 years for Parent & Aged Parent visas.

As at 31 March 2022, there were 65,045 Parent visa applications on hand with a queue date up to and including 1 July 2020.
