Australian Covid Vaccine Deaths.
Two more deaths from the AstraZeneca vaccine have been reported in the week ended 29 August 2021.
- A 59 year old Queensland woman.
- A 54 year old NSW man.
This now makes 9 deaths linked to the AstraZeneca vaccine in Australia, from the 9.6 million doses administered. Eight were TTS cases with one ITP case, from the 495 relevant reports reviewed.
There has now been a total of 33,746 reports for AstraZeneca side effects, with 125 cases being assessed as TTS and 61 with suspected ITP.
There have been 20,940 reports for Pfizer side effects.
The most common adverse effects reported to the TGA have included headache, muscle pain, fever, chills and injection-site reactions for both vaccines.
There have been 1,012 deaths from 55,093 confirmed cases of COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic.
