AstraZeneca and Blood Clots
AstraZeneca is in the news again today, with under-30s in the UK being offered an alternative Covid vaccine to the AstraZeneca jab due to the evidence linking it to rare blood clots.
Blood Clot Deaths
An April 2021 report has stated that 19 people out of the 20 million that have been vaccinated in the UK have died from a blood clot.
The regulator said this was not proof the jab had caused the clots.

Two-thirds of the cases of rare clots in those who were vaccinated were seen in women.

UK figures show:
- Covid kills one in eight people who are infected over the age of 75, and one in 1,000 infected in their 40s.
- The AstraZeneca vaccine MIGHT kill one in a million, from blood clot susceptible people.
- Travelling 250 miles in a car also carries with it a one-in-a-million chance of dying in an accident.
US figures show:
- 27 women die from the Birth Control Pill out of each million.
