In Australia, cash made up around 70% of payments in 2007 but had dropped to only 13% by 2022.

When will Cash become obsolete?

The Commonwealth Bank, NAB and ANZ have stated that they are to stop handling cash in a few branches.

Some experts are saying that we will be virtually cashless by sometime between 2024 and 2030.
