After getting PR, should you tell Immigration about your Change of Address?
While going through the onshore immigration process, which can take years for many people, we have to notify immigration of any change of address.
However, what about after we get the Permanent Resident (PR) visa.
Should people notify immigration about a change of address after getting PR?
My personal experience says no.
I was on a PR visa for over 20 years, before getting Citizenship, and moved about 4 times.
It was only when I applied for Citizenship that I gave immigration a new address.
It had no negative impact on my Citizenship application.
I also know of another who was PR for almost 40 years before getting Citizenship, and also never updated their address.
