COVID-19 in New South Wales.

The NSW government releases numbers of cases every morning, covering cases recorded for 24 hours the previous day.

*Total case numbers include both confirmed and probable COVID-19 cases as per the national case definition.
Negative numbers will indicate a reversal of a previous probable case when found to be negative on further testing.
Case counts reported for a particular day may vary over time due to ongoing investigations and case review.

The 19,139 reported local cases, shown in the daily chart, has had the total reduced to 18,881 after some cases were later verified as not Covid-19 cases.

NSW COVID-19 Deaths in 2021, by Age.

There have now been at least 3 deaths from those over 70 that have died even with both doses of COVID-19 vaccines.

There have been 86 recorded deaths in NSW, in August 2021.

73.2% were aged over 70.  Some may have died with COVID-19, but might have died even without being infected.  Some of the elderly might have had their lives shortened by a small amount of time, due to the infection.  These things we may never know for sure.
