The Reserve Bank of Australia increased its Cash Interest rates from 2.35% to 2.6%, on 4th October 2022.
Although this is the highest since 2014, it is not near the 17.5% in January 1990.
Between 1990 and September 2022 the average rate had been 3.93%.
