Queensland Border restriction changes from November 2021.
Queensland travel restrictions will ease when 70%, 80% and 90% of eligible Queenslanders are fully vaccinated.
Entering Queensland at 70% fully vaccinated rate:
Expected about 19 November 2021.
From an Australian Hotspot:
- Can enter by Air Only.
- Must be Fully Vaccinated.
- Must Test Negative within previous 72 hours.
- Must complete 14 days home quarantine.
From Overseas:
- People flying directly into Queensland must complete 14 days of Hotel Quarantine.
- Overseas arrivals entering Queensland from another state, must complete hotel quarantine until 14 days since arrival in Australia.
Entering Queensland at 80% fully vaccinated rate:
Expected about 17 December 2021.
However, from that date, additional public health restrictions will apply to unvaccinated people. The Queensland Premier has stated that fully vaccinated people are at least 86% less likely to catch COVID-19 and pass it on to someone you love, compared to an unvaccinated person.
From an Australian Hotspot:
- By Air or Road
- Must be Fully Vaccinated
- Must Test Negative within previous 72 hours.
- *No Quarantine Required*
From Overseas:
- Fully Vaccinated arrivals with a Negative Test within previous 72 hours can home quarantine.
- Other overseas arrivals must complete 14 days of hotel quarantine.
Entering Queensland at 90% fully vaccinated rate:
Expected in early 2022.
- Fully Vaccinated arrivals will have no border restrictions or quarantine.
- Unvaccinated travellers will still require a period of quarantine.
