RBA Interest Rates September 2023.

The RBA announced that the Australian Cash Rate would remain at 4.10%, at their meeting on 5 September 2023.

This was was expected by most experts.

At its meeting today, the Board decided to leave the cash rate target unchanged at 4.10 per cent and the interest rate paid on Exchange Settlement balances unchanged at 4.00 per cent.

What is the NORMAL Australian Cash rate?

During the 10 year period 2000 to 2009, the rate varied between 3.00% and 7.25%.  This shows what a normal cash rate might be.  Rates below 3% have been abnormally low.
