From Date of application to decision.

  • 25% took under 7 months.
  • 25% between 7 months and 10 months.
  • 25% between 10 months and 12 months.
  • 15% between 12 months and 15 months.
  • 10% took over 15 months.

From Date of approval to ceremony.

  • 25% took under 3 months.
  • 25% between 3 months and 4 months.
  • 25% between 4 months and 6 months.
  • 15% between 6 months and 9 months.
  • 10% took over 9 months.

From Date of application to ceremony.

  • 25% took under 10 months.
  • 25% between 10 months and 14 months.
  • 25% between 14 months and 19 months.
  • 15% between 19 months and 22 months.
  • 10% took over 22 months.

These times do NOT include those applications that are still in progress, and some of those might take longer than the longest times shown above.

  • 12,139 citizenship by conferral applications were received during the month of Sep 2022.
  • There were 112,024 citizenship by conferral applications on hand at the end of Sep 2022.
  • That is 3,713 less than the 115,737 citizenship by conferral applications on hand at the end of August 2022.
  • Those figures indicate that 15,582 applications were finalised in Sep 2022.
