In May 2012 the Median weekly total cash earnings for all ADULT full-time employees was $1,261. (A$65,572 per year).
This figure was $1,250.00 for all full-time employees, including non-adult.
In May 2012, the average weekly total cash earnings for all employees was $1,122.60 and for all full-time employees was $1,452.00.
This shows that the Australian Median wage is about 86% of the average wage.
In 2009 I calculated the median wages for 2009, based on known Average wages, and my own calculations of median percentages and came up with a figure of 85%. This is very close to the now actual percentage figure.
Full Time Male median Australian wage would be $59,532 based on 85% of the average wage for this group of $70,038.
Full Time Female median Australian wage would be $47,479 based on 85% of the average wage for this group of $55,858.
