Bunnings to open in the Lockyer Valley? Plainlands, Gatton, Laidley?.
News on the TV today, 19th April 2016, saying that Bunnings may be opening in the Lockyer valley, with many people welcoming the move and saving the drive to either Ipswich or Toowoomba stores.
The location being mentioned is Old College Road, Gatton. The report did say that Bunnings was unavailable to comment.

SPECULATION is running rife in the Lockyer Valley that a Bunnings hardware store will be built in the rapidly growing town.
Community members and even businesses owners in the Lockyer Valley are all under the impression a Bunnings store will be built at Plainland just off the Warrego Highway.
One Plainland business owner said he heard several months ago that Bunnings was considering building on a vacant block opposite Woolworths which had been purchased early last year.
Everyone has been talking about it for the past few months. We think it will be great for the area because we really need some more services out here, the business owner said.
We do already have a hardware store just up the road though and that’s quite good but the area is growing very quickly so it certainly wouldn’t hurt to have another hardware store.
When Bunnings was contacted by The Queensland Times to confirm if they had bought property at Plainland or are looking to build a Bunnings store in the region, the response was vague. ?Ý
