According to the ABS, the June 2025 unemployment rate (Trend) for Australia increased to 4.2% from 4.1%.

This was an increase of 8,400 from 631,100 in May 2025, to 639,500 in June 2025.

The number employed increased from 14,614,900 in May 2025, to 14,637,800 in June 2025.

According to the ABS, the June 2023 unemployment rate (Trend) for Australia remained at 3.5%.

This was a slight reduction from 507,000 in May 2023, down to 505,500 in June 2023.

The number employed increased to 14,045,800 from 14,006,800 in May 2023.
