The proposed 2024 local government elections timetable will be confirmed when the Notice of Election is issued.

The 2024 Queensland state election is scheduled to be held on 26 October 2024.
The 2020 Queensland state election was held on Saturday 31 October 2020.
This was a win by the Australian Labor Party (ALP), led by Annastacia Palaszczuk.
