The following processing times relate to Citizenship applications by conferral that reached a decision in January 2022.
From Date of application to decision.
- 25% in under 7 months.
- 25% between 7 and 10 months.
- 25% between 10 and 17 months.
- 15% between 17 and 30 months.
- 10% took over 30 months.
From Date of approval to ceremony.
- 25% in under 4 months.
- 25% between 4 and 6 months.
- 25% between 6 and 8 months.
- 15% between 8 and 10 months.
- 10% took over 10 months.
From Date of application to ceremony.
- 25% in under 8 months.
- 25% between 8 and 11 months.
- 25% between 11 and 18 months.
- 15% between 18 and 22 months.
- 10% took over 22 months
These times do NOT include those applications that are still in progress, and might take longer than the longest times shown above.
There were 144,721 citizenship by conferral applications on hand at 31 January 2022.
10,699 citizenship by conferral applications, were received between 1 January 2022 and 31 January 2022.
