The Queensland Premier said: “The next five to six weeks are crucial“. “Get yourself protected and that helps protect our whole community and allows us to open up“.
She mentions 6 weeks. Does that indicate opening up the borders by the end of November?
Could that be the End of Freedom for Queenslanders?
Many Queenslanders are very scared of an influx of people from the states that have many cases.
Queenslanders have been told by other Premiers that they must eventually accept getting Covid-19 cases and deaths, as that is the price of Freedom.
But they say they already have Freedom. Freedom to shop, to work, to swim, etc.
However, it is VITAL that Queenslanders are prepared. The virus will escape from places like NSW or Victoria, and find its way into Queensland again.
The next time it happens, it could result in a similar situation to that one overseas case that hit NSW in June 2021, and caused 65,786 locally acquired cases with another 475 related deaths.
Vaccinate or Isolate.
Queenslanders know that isolation works.
