The US and Israeli attacks on Iran began on 28 February 2026.
The above figures show a 35% increase in E10 retail petrol prices by 15 March 2026.
This followed the Iranian decision to block oil exports from the Middle East countries such as: Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar and the UAE.
Iran has hit a few tankers, using drone and missile attacks, when they tried to go through the Strait of Hormuz.
The Strait of Hormuz is the world’s busiest oil shipping channel, through which about 20% of the worlds oil shipments must travel.

Currently, more than 1,000 cargo ships, mainly oil and gas tankers, have been blocked from moving through the Strait of Hormuz.
