Does Hydroxychloroquine help against COVID-19?
A report in the Lancet states that multiple high-quality studies subsequently showed no benefit of hydroxychloroquine use as post-exposure prophylaxis, or as a COVID-19 treatment.
One UK report, on a study of about 200,000 people, showed COVID-19 mortality associated with hydroxychloroquine users at 0.23% and 0.22% among non-users.
About 15% of the people in this study were already taking hydroxychloroquine for other medical reasons.
