Working Holiday Visas 2022
Figures from the Department of Home Affairs show they have granted about 31,000 Working Holiday Visas since 15 December 2021.
The government estimates that about 24,000 of these will arrive in Australia during February to mid April 2022.
Part of the reason for the mid April date is the Visa Fee Rebate that will be available.

Working Holiday visa holders who are outside Australia, and arrive in Australia between 19 January 2022 and 19 April 2022 are eligible for a Visa Fee refund.
The Australian Government is providing an incentive for fully vaccinated Working Holiday Makers to travel to Australia as soon as possible.
Working Holiday Makers will be eligible for a refund of the visa application charge paid in relation to that visa if:
- you hold a valid Working Holiday/Work and Holiday visa (subclasses 417 or 462), and
- arrive in Australia on that visa between 19 January 2022 and 19 April 2022.
You can make a claim any time up to 31 December 2022.
