Is Dating classed as De Facto Relationship?

A De Facto relationship means similar to being married.

It does not include dating.

The Immigration Department state this:
Time spent dating, or in an online relationship, does not count as being in a de facto relationship.

A De facto relationship is commonly known as a marriage like relationship but without a certificate of marriage.

It normally has the same legal status of marriage.

What is dating?

Dating is a stage of getting to know someone for a possible future relationship, but have not yet committed to a relationship.
