In the 12 months ended August 2009, 100,478 passenger cars were sold in Queensland. This compared to 120,076 in the previous 12 months to August 2008.
This shows a drop of about 20% over the year. However, comparing August 2008 with 7,921 sales, to August 2009 with 8,971 sales, it appears that sales are picking up again in the latter part of 2009.
