Parent Visa Grants and Refusals 2014-15 to 2019.
A Freedom of Information request, released in January 2020, has shown that the numbers of Partner Visa grants has been reducing over the years between 2014 and 2019.
The grant numbers have dropped from an average of about 800 per month, down to about 650 per month between the 2014-15 and 2018-19 years.
The grant numbers for 2019-2020 so far, are slightly less than the previous years, at about 545 per month, although it may not be comparable to the previous full year figures.
In the same Freedom of Information request, the numbers of refusals have appeared to be quite stable, at about 45 per month between 2014-15 and 2018-19.
The refusal numbers for 2019-20 does look much higher, at about 147 per month, but again, as that is not a full year, it may not be comparable to the previous full year figures.
The number of applicants still waiting for their application to be decided, has steadily increased from about 78,000 to 105,000 at the end of each financial year.

- 2014-15: 9,763 (ave 814 per month)
- 2015-16: 9,654 (ave 805 per month)
- 2016-17: 8,122 (ave 677 per month)
- 2017-18: 7,956 (ave 663 per month)
- 2018-19: 7,813 (ave 651 per month)

- 2014-15: 541 (ave 45 per month)
- 2015-16: 921 (ave 77 per month)
- 2016-17: 539 (ave 45 per month)
- 2017-18: 538 (ave 45 per month)
- 2018-19: 537 (ave 45 per month)
- 2019-2020: Parent Visas refused between 1 July 2019 and 30 Nov 2019: 734 (An average of 147 per month)

- 2016-17: 6.2%
