Processing time data does not include applications previously impacted by Ministerial Direction 80.

Ministerial Direction 80 was a policy that placed all family visa applications, sponsored by people who originally arrived in Australia by boat, at the back of the visa processing queue, meaning those applications were simply never processed.

Ministerial Direction 80 was revoked and replaced with Ministerial Direction 102 in February 2023.
