Police allege a 33 year old Caboolture woman, Skye Anne Wallis, was driving a white Hyundai Kona SUV, when it hit the 53 year-old Police Constable, Dave Masters.
The passenger, a 24-year-old Morayfield woman, was later arrested at a home in Upper Caboolture, and has been charged with one count each of murder, arson of a motor vehicle and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
The police officer was laying road spikes to stop a stolen car when he was struck on the Bruce Highway at Burpengary just after 3 am on Saturday, 26 June 2021.
The Hyundai Kona SUV is a hire car from Ipswich that had not been returned, and classed as stolen. It was found burnt out around 25 kilometres away, at Quarry Road at Moodlu, on Saturday afternoon.
Investigations by the Homicide Investigation Unit are continuing and are seeking public assistance to help to locate Skye Anne Wallis. More at Neighbourhood Watch Queensland
