About 400 family members arrived on the Gold Coast in Queensland, to join their husbands and boyfriends in the 10 Victorian clubs that are based in Queensland for the rest of the AFL season during Melbourne’s COVID-19 outbreak.
These wives and girlfriends have been told that the trip is “not a holiday” and that they must adhere to the same strict rules as anyone else.
This means that they had to fly in, and be in quarantine at their own expense, or maybe at the expense of the AFL clubs themselves.
