Sydney has about 1200mm of rain in an average year, with the majority falling during the Winter period, although the difference between seasons appears minimal.

  • 620mm During the April to September period which includes Winter
  • 580mm During the October to March period which includes Summer

The average number of rain days is about 138 per year. However, a rain day may actually include a day when 3mm dropped in the middle of the night.
