The RBA announced that the Australian Cash Rate would change to 2.85% on 1st November 2022. The new rate comes into effect the day after.
This increase of 0.25 was lower than many expected.

At its meeting today, the Board decided to increase the cash rate target by 25 basis points to 2.85 per cent. It also increased the interest rate on Exchange Settlement balances by 25 basis points to 2.75 per cent.
What is the NORMAL Australian Cash rate?
During the 10 year period 2000 to 2009, the rate varied between 3.00% and 7.25%. This shows what a normal cash rate might be. Rates below 3% are abnormally low.
