Can you Recycle Meat Trays?.

The answer is Maybe..  It depends on what your meat tray is made of.

Some meat trays are made from recycled PET bottles.

Those marked PLIX 119 are made from at least 60% recycled #1 PET plastic (RPET) and are 100% recyclable. The tray can be recycled again and again, contributing to a circular economy for meat tray packaging.

But,  those made from Styrofoam are apparently not suitable for the recycle bin..

Can you put Styrofoam in the Recycling Bin?
The answer is ‘NO’, Styrofoam (or polystyrene foam) is not able to go into your curb side recycling bin.
Styrofoam items can include meat trays.
