Senior Australians Tax Offset 2009

If you are over the pension age, you may be eligible for the Australian Tax Office (ATO) Senior Australians Tax Offset.

Depending on various eligibility factors, this benefit may be payable for those with an income up to about $46,000 for a single person.

Senior Australians Tax Offset Income Thresholds for 2008-09:

  • $46,707 Single Person
  • $74,992 Combined income for a couple living together.
  • $87,840 Combined income for a couple living apart due to illness, or because one of you was in a nursing home.
