A change to the working hours rules, for eligibility to get the Carer Payment, will change in March 2025.
The current rules include:
Maximum of 25 working hours each week.
Centrelink are increasing some benefits payments from 20th March 2023, by about 3.7%.
Only those with a payment date from the 3rd April 2023, will receive the full increase, covering their 14 day payment period.

Under the Carer Payment Income Test, a Carer Payment recipient is allowed to earn up to the Carer Payment Income Threshold without losing any of their Carer Payment Pension.
These thresholds are currently $190 and $336 per fortnight.
