Following the death of Elizabeth II, Queen of Australia, the new Monarch will be her son Charles, and he will be known as:
Charles the Third, by the Grace of God King of Australia and His other Realms and Territories, Head of the Commonwealth.
Queen Elizabeth II died at Balmoral Castle, Scotland. Her death was announced at 6.30pm UK time (3.30am Australian Eastern Standard Time [AEST])
