Western Australia has reduced the number of arrivals that they will accept, down to 512 per week, instead of 1,025, and that restriction will stay in place until 30th May.
The high numbers of returned overseas travellers is putting a continued strain and pressure on the WA hotel quarantine system.
The WA Premier said: “If we are to crush the virus, just as we have done before, we need to slow the flow of returning travellers.”
This follows the recent COVID cases coming out of hotel quarantine.
