- 25% took under 4 months.
- 25% between 4 months and 5 months.
- 25% between 5 months and 7 months.
- 15% between 7 months and 11 months.
- 10% took over 11 months.
From Date of approval to ceremony.
- 25% took under 78 days.
- 25% between 78 days and 4 months.
- 25% between 4 months and 6 months.
- 15% between 6 months and 8 months.
- 10% took over 8 months.
From Date of application to ceremony.
- 25% took under 9 months.
- 25% between 9 months and 11 months.
- 25% between 11 months and 14 months.
- 15% between 14 months and 19 months.
- 10% took over 19 months.
These times do NOT include those applications that are still in progress, and some of those might take longer than the longest times shown above.
- 14,685 citizenship by conferral applications were received during the month of May 2023.
- There were 84,019 citizenship by conferral applications on hand at the end of May 2023.
- That is 12,507 (12.96%) less than the 96,526 citizenship by conferral applications on hand at the end of April 2023.
- That would mean that 27,192 applications were finalised in May 2023.

- 25% between 44 days and 59 days.
- 25% between 59 days and 87 days.
- 15% between 87 days and 4 months.
- 10% took over 4 months.
There were 3,596 citizenship by descent applications on hand at the end of May 2023. That is a decrease of 251 from the 3,847 citizenship by descent applications on hand at the end of May 2022.
There were 1,427 citizenship by descent applications received during May 2023.
That would mean that 1,678 applications were finalised in May 2023.
