Australian Visa Processing Times August 2020

Processing Times for August 2020.

Due to COVID-19, some visa processing times have been affected and applications may take longer to finalise. Processing times are not available for all visa subclasses.

The following visa processing times are showing at immi.homeaffairs.gov.au, although their page still states: Last updated: 19 August 2020 for month ending July 2020.

The figures are different to the July times that they published in August, and I think they might have updated these in late September.

I am assuming that these new times are actually for applications finalised in August.

Australian visa processing times are produced monthly by the Immigration Department, to give an idea of how long a visa application might take, assuming things do not change.  They are NOT guarantees of how long Current or Future applications will take.

These times will vary month to month based on many factors, and may be very different to the actual times that an applicant experiences, especially those applications that take many months or years.

Individual processing times can be affected by the numbers of complex cases and incomplete applications, locations of processing offices for offshore applications, together with changes in application volumes, seasonal peaks, etc.
