Bridging Visa for subclass 482 Application.

Work Restrictions on BVA for subclass 482

On applying for a subclass 482, while onshore, it is normal to be granted a Bridging Visa A.

A Bridging Visa A normally carries full work rights, however, the 482 visa itself has working restrictions. For example, only being able to work for the nominating employer.

Consequently, the Bridging Visa issued to a subclass 482 applicant will normally have the condition 8607 attached.

What is Condition 8607?

8607 – Must only work in nominated occupation.

You must work only in the occupation nominated in your most recent Subclass 482 (Temporary Skill Shortage) visa application.

You cannot work in a different occupation unless you apply for and are granted a new Temporary Skill Shortage visa.
