The following processing times relate to Citizenship applications by conferral that reached a decision in February 2022.
From Date of application to decision.
- 25% in under 8 months.
- 25% between 8 and 10 months.
- 25% between 10 and 17 months.
- 15% between 17 and 20 months.
- 10% took over 20 months.
From Date of approval to ceremony.
- 25% in under 3 months.
- 25% between 3 and 5 months.
- 25% between 5 and 7 months.
- 15% between 7 and 10 months.
- 10% took over 10 months.
From Date of application to ceremony.
- 25% in under 8 months.
- 25% between 8 and 12 months.
- 25% between 12 and 19 months.
- 15% between 19 and 27 months.
- 10% took over 27 months
These times do NOT include those applications that are still in progress, and some of those might take longer than the longest times shown above.
11,261 citizenship by conferral applications were received during the month of February 2022.
There were 140,453 citizenship by conferral applications on hand at 28 February.
That is a reduction of 4,268 from the 144,721 citizenship by conferral applications on hand at 31 January 2022.
Those figures indicate that 15,529 applications were finalised in February 2022.
