Eden-Monaro by-election 2020

Labor have claimed victory in the Eden-Monaro by election in July 2020.

Labor have won the 2020 Eden-Monaro by election by 774 votes, out of 114,244 Eligible electors.

After 97,503 votes were counted, although only 91,277 eligible votes, with 6,226 votes classed as Informal, the main parties primary votes were:

  • 34,934 Liberal. 38.27%. (Up from 37.0%)
  • 32,845 Labor. 35.98%. (Down from 39.2%)
  • 5,867 Nationals. 6.43%. (Down from 7.0%)
  • 5,101 Greens. 5.59%. (Down from 8.8%)
  • 4,907 Shooters, Fishers and Farmers. 5.38%

But after preferences were allocated, the two main parties were:

  • 46,024 Labor 50.42%. (Down from 50.8%)
  • 45,250 Liberal 49.58% (Up from 49.2%)
