How to get exemption from Compulsory Quarantine in Queensland.
Queensland chief health officer Jeannette Young has confirmed that an exemption from compulsory hotel quarantine is available to those who have a pre approved COVID-safe plan approved for their industry.
This will normally include their home quarantine being managed by an independent third party.
She grants exemptions when confident that the process put in place will adequately protect the Queensland community if any of the people who are in quarantine were to be positive.
There are a large number of different groups which might have exemptions to hotel quarantine, and these can include consular officials, Australian Defence Force personnel, mining workers, maritime workers, flight crew and elite sporting groups, and people in the entertainment industry.
