All Australians will soon be unable to return AND leave again.
On Wednesday, 11th August 2021, the travel rules for Australians who live overseas wil be changed.
The original rules, for travel exemptions for Australians returning to, and leaving, Australia, apparently had an unintended loophole.
This loophole allowed Australians who lived overseas to automatically be allowed to leave Australia if they come home to visit.
From Wednesday, they will need an exemption like every other Australian wanting to leave.
