An independent audit of Australian supermarket plastics use shows that ALDI is leading the reduction in plastic packaging.
ALDI are leading way, followed by Coles, the Woolworths, and then Metcash (IGA/Foodland).
Plastic packaging reduction rates.
20% Aldi.
15% Coles.
10% Woolworths.
3% Metcash ( IGA and Foodland).
Currently only 18% of Australia’s plastic packaging is being recycled.
ALDI is the only one of the above, that is exceeding the average.
