Queensland Restrictions Monday 1 June

Coronavirus restrictions to be eased for Queensland from 1st June 2020.

People in Queensland will be able to travel almost anywhere in Queensland, from midday Monday 1st June 2020.

The Queensland Premier, Annastacia Palaszczuk, has said. “From tomorrow, Queenslanders will be able to travel anywhere within Queensland”.

There are still a few exceptions though. Travel continues to be restricted in some Indigenous communities, under the biosecurity act.

Gatherings of up to 20 people will also be allowed, and restaurants, cafes, and pubs would also be able to increase their total number of patrons from 10 to 20. These outlets however, must be operating under a COVID-safe checklist.

Queensland is still keeping the state border closed, limiting entry into the state.
