What is needed to travel to Australia during COVID with Partner Visa?

After the 309 or 100 is granted what else is needed before flying to Australia?

With a subclass 309 or 100 visa, you do NOT need an exemption to the travel ban.

It is best to carry a printed copy of the visa grant, but it may not be needed.

Travel Ban Exemption?

For most visa holders, you MUST hold a visa and an exemption to Australia’s travel restrictions before you travel. A subclass 309 or 820 visa holder does not need an exemption. Permanent Resident Visa holders (includes subclass 100 and 801) also do not need an exemption.

COVID Testing?

Passengers travelling to Australia must be tested for COVID-19 72 hours or less prior to the scheduled flight departure, and display evidence of a negative test result at the time of check-in.

COVID Vaccinations?

At this time, vaccination against COVID-19 does not change the requirement for mandatory quarantine for 14 days at the port of arrival.

Some airlines may require vaccinations at some stage.  It could be worth checking when booking a flight.
