160 Workers arrive in Australia from Vanuatu.

160 workers have flown in to the Northern Territory from Vanuatu to help with the harvesting of Mangoes.

Even though Vanuatu has had no cases of Coronavirus since they closed their borders in March, one of the few countries in the world to have no COVID cases, these workers will still be quarantined for 14 days. This will be at a facility near Darwin.

They are the first of about 600 and it is planned they will stay for 9 months.

Some background on this can be read at lukegosling.com.au.
Luke Gosling is the Federal Member for Solomon.
