The following processing times relate to Citizenship applications by conferral that reached a decision in April 2022.
From Date of application to decision.
- 25% in under 8 months.
- 25% between 8 months and 11 months.
- 25% between 11 months and 16 months.
- 15% between 16 months and 18 months.
- 10% took over 18 months.
From Date of approval to ceremony.
- 25% in under 4 months.
- 25% between 4 months and 6 months.
- 25% between 6 months and 11 months.
- 15% between 11 months and 12 months.
- 10% took over 12 months.
From Date of application to ceremony.
- 25% in under 10 months.
- 25% between 10 months and 17 months.
- 25% between 17 months and 21 months.
- 15% between 21 months and 26 months.
- 10% took over 26 months.
These times do NOT include those applications that are still in progress, and some of those might take longer than the longest times shown above.
10,951 citizenship by conferral applications were received during the month of April 2022.
There were 129,861 citizenship by conferral applications on hand at the end of April 2022.
That is a reduction of 3,346 from the 133,207 citizenship by conferral applications on hand at the end of March 2022.
Those figures indicate that 14,297 applications were finalised in April 2022.
