Queensland has reported 9,076 tests in the last day, with one new positive case.
This might be considered good news following the arrival of the two females from Melbourne via Sydney, who lied on their declaration, and who were COVID-19 positive.
For eight days they could have been spreading the disease in the South of Brisbane, Queensland.
Over 9,000 tests have been carried out, during the last 24 hours, with people queuing for hours to get tested, following that news.
Only one case??
No. The results from those tests are not yet finalised.
That one new case, a 27 year old male, is believed to have been in close contact of those two females, and would have been tested a few days ago. One news report states he is believed to be a family member of one of these females.
Update: That news report has now been revised to say that he is NOT a relative of one of those females.
The Queensland Premier has said it was important that anyone who had been at the Madtongsan IV Korean restaurant in Sunnybank on 23rd July gets tested.
