Visitor Visa applications lodged Offshore April 2020 to March 2021

Visitor visa (Subclass 600) applications lodged from overseas between April 2020 and March 2021.

A total of 36,998 subclass 600 Visitor visa applications were lodged, with 9,189 granted.

• 3,872 Visitor Sponsored Family were lodged, with 780 granted (20%).
• 33,126 Tourist were lodged, with 8,409 granted (25%).

Visitor visa (Subclass 600) overseas applications finalised between April 2020 and March 2021.

A total of 19,374 subclass 600 Visitor visa applications were finalised between April 2020 and March 2021.

• 780 subclass 600 Visitor Sponsored Family visas were granted, 146 were refused and 495 were withdrawn.
• 8,409 subclass 600 Tourist visas were granted, 7,593 were refused and 1,951 were withdrawn.

With a total of 36,998 subclass 600 visitor visa applications being lodged, and 19,374 subclass 600 visitor visa applications being finalised, this must mean that at least 17,624 are still in the pipeline with no decisions made.

Looking just at the 2021 figures, the numbers were:

Visitor visa (Subclass 600) applications lodged from overseas between Jan 2021 and March 2021.

• 1,164 Visitor Sponsored Family stream were lodged, with 206 granted (17.7%).
• 9,918 Tourist stream were lodged, with 2,319 granted (23.4%).
